Bert Goering, President
Bert Goering is the president of The Precision Coil Spring Company, a position he has held since 2003 when he succeeded his father, Albert Goering.
Mr. Goering graduated at the top of his class in 1984 from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California with dual degrees in Civil Engineering and Management Engineering.  This combined course of study allowed him to simultaneously develop his business and management skills while also learning about physics and metallurgy involved in manufacturing processes.
His education was supplemented by co-op work experiences at Parsons Engineering Company and Mobil Oil.  At Parsons, he focused on engineering and material science by testing and calculating stress levels on the panels of satellites launched from shuttles.  At Mobil, Bert refined his managerial skills while working on hazardous waste and environmental remediation projects.
He worked for Mobil Oil full time after graduation before coming to work for PCS in 1986.
Under his father’s guidance, Bert worked in a variety of departments and functions for several years, learning the family business from the ground up.  He ran the Quality Department, assisted with Production Management, worked on quoting in Engineering, and in many other job functions throughout the company.  In 2003, he was named President of Precision Coil Spring.
From his education and work experiences, Bert has become a strong advocate for constantly seeking to improve quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes, and investing in education and ongoing learning for all employees at Precision Coil Spring.  These beliefs form a core part of the culture that has made The Precision Coil Spring Company successful for many years.
