Achieving The Highest Levels of Quality

Our Quality Policy

Precision Coil Spring is committed to providing Quality Spring products to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. We will achieve this commitment with the following objectives, all within an environment of continuous improvement and attention to a positive and ethical employee culture.

  • Meeting or Exceeding Our Customer’s Quality Standards
  • Effective Contract Administration
  • Setting and maintaining consistent throughput goals
  • On time delivery
  • Partnering with great suppliers to meet our customer’s needs

This has been incorporated from the early days of PCS, beginning with the Boeing Standard D1-9000, to today’s NADCAP, ISO-9001, and AS-9100 certifications. Additionally, we follow all customer requirements and specifications from medical, nuclear, and general manufacturing industries.

We embrace these programs, because in today’s challenging global market, exceptional quality and performance are fundamental to our customer’s success. In addition to satisfying quality standards, we provide our customers with the option to do 100% performance and inspection testing with complete test and inspection results.

To demonstrate our superior quality performance, we offer our customers the option to use PCS as a delegated source, eliminating the need for customer in-house quality inspection and allowing parts to go “from dock to production line”.

Materials

Determining the right materials for your project is one of the most important steps of the manufacturing process. The material that we will suggest for your project will depend on the requirements of the application, such as spring function and environmental factors.

Functional requirements include load and load operating cycle, cycle frequency, long-term reliability, and fatigue life. Operating requirements are temperature, corrosion, and consideration for potential dissimilar metals in adjoining components.

We most commonly use the following types of alloys in our flagship and custom products: carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, nickel-based, cobalt-based, copper-based, and titanium. To view our full materials list, click on the click below.
